Hooking up Preamps to Digidesign 003 Rack?
I have Pro Tools LE with a 003 rack, hooked to that via optical cable is a PreSonus Digimax FS 8 Channel Preamp. I have noticed that there are no more Optical outputs left for another preamp. My question is:How do I add another preamp to my 003 rack, and if I do will Pro Tools recognize it and display more inputs for me to select?

You need balanced 1/4" cables (TRS) and go into the line inputs. Depending on your preamp, you may need an XLR to 1/4" cable. The input selection will be "Interface 1" or whatever number you plug into, instead of "Optical."
