The Epiphone Masterbilt AJ-500ME Acoustic-Electric Guitar
The Epiphone Masterbilt AJ-500ME is an electro-acoustic guitar that oozes the vintage style of the 1930’s in sound, look and feel. The AJ-500ME is an advanced jumbo guitar meaning it has a big body with sloped shoulders. The Epiphone AJ500ME is able to produce a large amount of acoustic volume through the advanced jumbo body but still retain a warm and well-balanced tone.
The Masterbilt series is a showcase of Epiphone’s proud guitar making tradition – Epiphone’s attention to detail in the construction of the Masterbilt AJ-500ME highlights this fine tradition. The AJ500ME, with its sitka spruce top and solid mahogany body, is perfect for a range of guitar playing styles due to its bright mid-range tone. The neck of the AJ500ME is fixed using the traditional dove-tail joint, giving added vitality to the guitar. Inside the AJ-500ME you’ll find Sitka spruce bracing and mahogany kerfing that adds to the overall sound of the guitar. The high standard of craftsmanship exhibited across the Masterbilt series is highlighted by the expertly crafted fretboard and fretwork of the AJ-500ME. This classic looking guitar features a mother-of-pearl stickpin inlay, nickel hardware, and offset notch headstock.
With the inclusion of the on-board stereo preamp system eSonic2 the Epiphone AJ500ME performs fantastically when amped up. The player has exceptional command over their amplified sound through the eSonic2’s individual EQ controls for each pickup - Mag EQ and Flex EQ. The eSonic2’s blend slider gives you the ability to find the exact sound you want by mixing between the two pick-ups. The eSonic2 also incorporates a phase button for feedback control, a built-in tuner and volume control knob.

IK Multimedia introduces new iRig mic, mixer, and stompbox at CES (TUAW)
IK Multimedia is showing off new products in the North Hall of CES 2012 in Las
Vegas this week, and they were one of our first stops around the Las Vegas
Convention Center. IK Multimedia is behind the popular Amplitube software, and
has seen a lot of success with the iRig guitar port for iOS, and its followup,
the iRig mic.
In fact, given all of that success, IK is really going all out with the iRig
brand, introducing a slew of new products to both bring audio in and out of
iOS devices. The most impressive new tool on display at the show is the iRig
Mix, a mobile two-track mixer that's designed to work with your iPhone or
iPad. At its base, this is just a really solid mixer -- audio comes in via two
1/8" jacks at the top, and while those jacks are meant for iPad or iPhone
audio, they'll really work with any input of that kind. Each side of the mixer
has separate knobs for gain, treble, and bass, and of course either track can
be cued through another headphone jack at the bottom and buttons above ...
