I play metal and want to be able to record my own rhythms to save and be able to bring up later instead of having a rhythm in a band like Veil of Maya does, I play out of a spider 2 150 and have been using my friends rc-2 and its fun but the sound changes and stuff when I change modeled amps on my spider, My price range would be between 200-600 bucks and any and all imput would be greatly appreciated i'd also like it to have good drum tracks so I could jam to them
If the sound change is a problem, does your amp have two sockets labelled send/return, or labeled fx loop? try putting the looper inbetween there, one cable going from send to the pedals input, then one back to return- this should record it with whatever sound you're using at the time, so when you change to a solo channel for example, the rythmn will still soound the same.
The RC-2 or RC-20 should work fine for either of those.
