Why Is Windows Giving You The Blue Screen Registry Error And How Do You Fix It
The blue screen registry error is the attention-grabbing screen that crops up whenever Windows encounter a problem that will permit it from properly functioning. While much less common nowadays, this screen is still is an irritant that many computer users stumble upon every now and then.
What is the blue screen registry error and why should you care.
The blue screen registry error – more popular for its street name, the Blue Screen of Death or BSOD and is officially known as Windows stop message – is an error screen that shows itself after your PC's system detects a problem in its components. It contains a combination of text and hexadecimal messages that present clues as to what is causing it to show up. While the messages it presents don’t usually have specific details, it is still very important to take note of the message. After all, you would not be able to go back to using your PC normally if you ignore its messages.
What causes it to show up?
There are five occasions that cause this message to crop up - hardware errors, software errors, installation errors, startup errors and other computer errors.
You can clearly conclude from the names of the errors themselves the specific root of the problem. Software and hardware errors, for example, refer to failures, malfunctions and other similar problems that have occurred in any installed hardware or software in your computer. Installation errors refer to problems that root from the process of installing new hardware or software. Meanwhile, startup errors stem directly from files that are launched during boot up. Lastly are the irritating problems called the intermittent errors. This can be caused by things like overheating processor, malfunctioning hard drives and errors in the RAM.
What are the fixes to BSOD?
There are a lot ways to fix the Blue Screen of Death. It is not practical, however, to discuss every solution in this article. Different websites provide computer users solutions to the Windows stop message.
In general however, you can try doing the following:
Write what the error messages says. All the messages in the BSOD are vital in targeting the problem. If you weren’t able to write down the entire message, that's alright, just try again the next time it flashes. After showing the blue screen, Windows normally tries to repeat booting up. If it fails, wait for a few minutes and restart your computer. If the BSOD occurs again after doing this, turn the PC off and restart via the option 'attempt to restart Windows normally'. It is possible that your computer will restart properly after this. When it does, keep the information you noted for later use.
Because the above operations don't usually address the root of the problem, the blue screen is still likely to show up later. When it flashes again, choose the 'Safe Mode' by pressing F8 repeatedly. If this doesn’t work, reboot again and select 'restore last known good configuration'. This will restore your most recent save point. Doing this normally works well for most computers.
If you have already tried all of these and you still receive the blue screen registry error, you should start thinking. What was the last thing you did with your computer that have caused the error message to appear; did you install anything? If you did, removing the recently installed application or hardware will automatically stop the problem from occurring.
